Though I've never seen or touched a real Fairchild 670, in my opinion, the T-RackS processor model holds its own against other 670 plug-ins I've heard. The EQP-1A processor performed faithfully to my ears. ![]() IK integrates their Dynamic Saturation Modeling (DSM) technology with a new process called Sonic Character Cloning (SCC) used to digitally create a model of the Fairchild and Pultec units. The T-RackS 3 Deluxe version features three new vintage processor models: a Fairchild 670, a Pultec EQP-1A, and an Opto compressor ambiguously modeled from the best of vintage analog units. While still offering a "mastering for the masses" approach with DAW plug-in integration, significant improvements in processor modeling, oversampling, and customization/automation options push T-RackS 3's standalone application towards a more advanced user-base. The manual read like a "mastering for dummies" quick-start guide-helpful, informative, and most of all, very encouraging for the uninitiated. Enhances mix frequencies, stereo images, dynamic range and gives your audio a seamless, top notch sound. My first lesson in audio mastering consisted of reading the documentation included with an early standalone version of T-RackS 24 that I purchased in 1999. Its familiar interface makes it easy to control five powerful processors: EQ, compressor, limiter, soft-clipping output stage, and a complete mastering suite. Its rich, warm sound starts with algorithms based on true analog circuitry. T-RackS 24 is a stand-alone Analog Mastering Suite. ![]() T-RackS 24 has everything you need to create superb, tube-toned masters on your desktop. Yet, up until now, there's never been a way to achieve this leaving the digital domain and piping your music through expensive analog gear. If you record music with digital gear, you already know how challenging it can be to get that warm, broad, analog sound. ![]()
